  • How do I cancel my subscription?

    To cancel, go to www.readwithamira.com and click "Log In". Then click on your email address, choose "Account" and choose "Manage Subscription". You'll see an option to cancel. You can also email us at support@amiralearning.com.

  • Can I use Amira and the StoryCraft on my iPhone?

  • Can I use Amira and the StoryCraft on an Android tablet or phone?

  • Can I try Amira and the StoryCraft for free before I buy?

    Yes! When you sign up, you’ll automatically get a 30 day free trial. If you don’t want to continue, you can cancel within those 30 days.

  • How does Amira help my child?

    Amira and the StoryCraft is a 1:1 reading tutor within a game. In the game, your child travels with Amira to imaginary story realms to discover stories. As your child reads aloud, Amira provides help when she hears a hesitation or mispronunciation. Amira provides just enough support at the right time to help your child become a better reader.

Getting Started

  • How do I sign up?

    Go to www.readwithamira.com/signup. Choose whether you want to sign in using Facebook, Google, or Apple. Fill out the survey and sign up for a subscription (30 day free trial included). Then, download the app from the Apple app store and start reading!


  • How does Amira choose stories for my child?

    Each time your child reads aloud with Amira, she learns more about which skills your child has mastered and which still need work. Amira uses this information to choose stories that are "just right" for your reader.

  • Where do the stories in Amira and the StoryCraft come from?

    Amira has great stories from Highlights Magazine, Rebel Girls, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Expeditionary Learning, Text Project, Empath, and more!

  • Enable Your Microphone

    To enable your microphone, open Settings on your iPad. Choose "Safari", then "Microphone". Click "Allow".

  • How do I reset my password?

    Amira supports single sign on using Google, Facebook, or Apple. If you're not sure which account you used to sign up, contact us at support@amiralearning.com. Otherwise, head over to google.com (if you signed up with google), facebook.com (if you signed up with facebook), or apple.com (if you signed up with apple) to reset your password.

  • Do I need to be connected to the internet to use Amira and the StoryCraft?

    Yes, Amira and the StoryCraft requires a persistent internet connection.

  • What devices does Amira and the StoryCraft run on?

    Right now, Amira and the StoryCraft is supported on iPads running iOS 13 or above. We are working on adding support for iPhones, older iPads, and Android devices. Stay tuned!
